Missing Dave

It occured to me today that it has been a long time since I have been to a Dave Matthews Concert. Almost 2 years. Hearing Grey Street today brought back a flood of memories from my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th concerts. I could not stand the Dave Matthews Band untill my best friend talked me into going to my 1st concert. I bought grass tickets at an ampitheatre (they were definately "grass" seats) and was hooked by they second song. Since then, my CD player rarely dines on anything else.

They have something that few bands have these days.....Talent. Any band that can blend accustic guitar, saxiphone, crazy drum beats, and a thumping bass are far beyond some of these fly by night bands that we have today. I have found very few musicians with a sound that can both relax or excite mixed with lyrics that can entertain and enlighten. It is definately becoming a lost art. Their music never gets old to me.

One day in the next year I will be back to a Dave Concert with my buddies, my wife, and maybe even my little girl. But I will be there. Untill then........

"Stay American Baby, but Don't drink the water from the Warehouse or you'll Crash in the middle of Grey Street."
