People are People

After watching this little video. I was in some strange way reminded of my daughter's favorite movie right now, Horton hears a Who. It's strange b/c the movie presents accepting people even if they seem "smaller" than us in some ways. But the 0pposite is also true. We think we know the people we see on the TV in the news, movies, music, and tabloids. But we don't. No matter who someone is made out to be-there will always be more.

Barack Obama is the New President. Love him or hate him, he's the man now. Over the next four years we will both condone and condemn some of the things he does and says. But over the next four years he will also be celebrated by his two girls as their loving father. We forget that before he was a Senator or President, he was a father and a husband. Those roles, prayerfully won't change. His family will hear and experience most all that is said in our freedom of speech media. That scares me for them.

This is a great piece of advice that I pray his girls continue to remember that while he is Mr. President for right now; he is still and always be "daddy."
