A Kiss Goodnight

I love watching my Ella sleep for several reasons. It is as if time stands still and I try to capture that moment in comparison to her first months of life. I always wipe the hair out of her face and say a prayer of thankfulness, protection, and wisdom over her. Before I leave her for the night I kiss her on the cheek and tell her that I will always love and do my best to always protect her. I love those moments.

Last night I was laying in bed with Ella watching Pingu and was beginning to doze off. Pingu will do that to you. I was awake enough to feel her stirring. Ella then proceeded to give me a little peck on the cheek and then whispered very softly..."I love you daddy and always will"

Wow...I love being a dad!
